A tricky few weeks with more downs than ups, but as I look through my photos I realise that there’s been a lot of good stuff too.
At the start of the month I took myself wuthering over Marsden moors. The weather was glorious and I contemplated never coming home…

Being outside so much inspired me to finally start my perpetual journal. The idea is to allocate a page per week in your sketchbook, and as the years go on, record the things you’re seeing. The idea was started by Lara Call Gastinger, whose botanical sketching I adore.
While my mind was on sketchbooks, I did what I always do when I feel stressed – I found something Very Structured to do. This time I made myself a full colour swatch of my watercolour set, and then bound it into a simple reference book

The cover is cut from an old bit of paint sploshing I did. I’m in love with it, I must admit!

Other little things I’ve been up to include these tiny crochet flowers for a spring display in town; making a much needed pin cushion from a charity shop egg cup (/shot glass??); and some more Siddhi Study Stitching
Not a bad round up for a gal who thought there was nothing to share this month!
